My name is Seanon Wong (or simply, "Sean"). I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Government and Public Administration, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southern California, a Certificate from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies, and an M.A. in International Relations and B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
My academic interests include international relations theory, security studies, diplomacy, political psychology, identity and intergroup conflicts, and the international relations of East Asia (particularly China). My research has appeared in Place Branding and Public Diplomacy, European Journal of International Relations, Asian Perspective, and Stanford Journal of East Asian Affairs.
